Music

St. Augustine wrote that “He who sings prays twice.” If that’s true, Trinity is a particularly prayerful place – we are a congregation with a long history and practice of enthusiastic singing. Each week, the congregation, itself, forms our largest choir, participating vigorously in the hymns, psalms, and canticles of our worship service. Beyond that, there are opportunities for singers and instrumentalists of varying ability to participate more fully in the musical life of our congregation.

Chancel Choir

Trinity’s Chancel Choir is a group of treble singers who rehearse weekly to offer an anthem and provide musical leadership at an average of three services a month.

Festival Choir

Trinity’s Festival Choir includes the Chancel Choir as well as other singers who are unable to make the weekly commitment, but who nevertheless enjoy joining us for the festivals of the church year, most notably Christmas, Holy Week, and Easter.

Handbell Choir

Trinity’s Handbell Choir rings up to two octaves of beautiful bronze handbells. They rehearse weekly and ring in services monthly and on the festival Sundays of the church year.

Instrumentalists

If you play an instrument, we’d love to give you an opportunity to offer your talents in worship.

If you are interested in participating in any of Trinity’s ensembles or are an instrumentalist, please contact Trinity’s Cantor, David Ruhf, and he’ll be happy to help you find the right avenue for your talents.
