Children and Youth
Trinity’s Congregational Life affords all members of the church to continue on their Christian journey in an atmosphere of love and mutual support, as we seek to engage both the hearts and minds of those in our church family.
Sunday School (Pre-K – Grade 6)
Sunday School meets weekly from September through May on Sunday mornings, from 9:15 am -10:15 am. Each child is the light of God. We nurture the children with Sunday school lessons of faith, trust, and love, all in a creative, open, and loving environment.
Confirmation Program (Grades 7-9)
As our children become young adults, they engage in more robust study of scripture, the sacraments, the confessions and creeds of the Lutheran Christian faith, and in acts of service for the church and community. Once our Confirmands complete the confirmation program, they are confirmed on Reformation Sunday, and they become adult members of the church.
Youth Ministry
For children and young adults who enjoy hands-on service projects, activities, and just hanging out for fun, Youth Group is the place to be! It is run by our Youth Ministry Coordinator, Courtney Matthews, who plans fun and exciting events for the youth. This group allows the youth to get to know each other, form life-long friendships, and learn to serve others, all while strengthening their faith.
Trinity’s Youth gather in our beautifully renovated and well-equipped youth room for fun activities including lock-ins, rocking marathons, movies, conversation, or just a fun game of foosball. The Youth Ministry partners with our Sunday School for other activities such as gingerbread decorating and pumpkin carving, and in the summer of 2022, we had our first Family Carnival.
Vacation Bible School
Trinity has a tradition of hosting a summer Vacation Bible School during which our children and youth enjoy a week of learning, activities, singing, and just a lot of fun. VBS is a wonderful, fulfilling experience for the children who attend, as well as the numerous volunteers who make it happen.
Breakfast with Santa
Our Christian Education committee sponsors this yearly fellowship event, usually on the first Saturday in December. Children share in a delicious breakfast, lively fellowship, and a visit with Santa. The breakfast is always a highlight of the church year.
