Please join us for worship On Sunday, June 14, as we observe the Third Sunday After Pentecost.  We will have one service of Holy Communion with Holy Baptism at 9am.  We will welcome Noah Schafer to our fellowship as he has asked to be baptized.  We will also recognize Kathy Sigley and David Ruhf on their achieving 25 years of service to our parish.  A celebration will follow the service.  Please see below for details.

In Sunday’s readings, Moses tells the Israelites that they are called to be a priestly kingdom and a holy people. Jesus sends out the disciples as laborers into the harvest. In baptism we too are anointed for ministry, sharing God’s compassion with our needy world. From the Lord’s table we go forth to proclaim the good news, to heal the sick, and to share our bread with the hungry.

Follow this link to the online bulletin if you’re joining us for the 9am Livestream.

Thank You:  Thanks to everyone who came to help prepare the strawberries for this year’s Strawberry Festival.  The fellowship hall was redolent with the scent of June strawberries (the best!), and lots of laughter and fellowship were overheard from the many volunteers who came to help.  Special thanks to Kim, Randy, and Amanda Setzer for coordinating and bringing the berries in!

Personnel News:  The Personnel Committee has been meeting frequently to assiduously plan for the transitions following Kathy Sigley’s retirement.  The Event Coordinator position has been restructured a smidge, which is reflected in the job description below.  If you or anyone you know might be interested in the position of Sexton or of Event Coordinator, please have a look at the documents below or share with the interested parties.  Many thanks!

Young at Heart News:  On Tuesday, June 23, we’ll be visited by the Officer Schippang of the Colonial Regional Police K9 Unit, as well as one of his charges, to discuss/demonstrate how K9 units assist with investigations.  Attendees are asked to bring a brown bag lunch.  The event will begin at noon.  Please RSVP to Kathy.

We’re happy to report that we’re at full capacity for the Iron Pigs game on July 12.  Thanks to everyone who signed up, and we can’t wait to see you at the ball game!

Strawberry Festival:  This year’s Festival will be held in our air-conditioned Fellowship Hall (the new units barely blink at hot temperatures!), and will feature music by The Majestics.  We’re seeking donations of baked goods and items for the tricky tray.  For more information, please see Kathy Sigley.  The Festival will be from 4-9pm.

June Joyful Giving – Loaves and Fishes:  The Loaves and Fishes Soup Kitchen expresses the love of Jesus Christ by serving those persons living in Bath, Nazareth and the surrounding communities of Northampton County who are hungry. In conjunction with several churches in Nazareth and Bath, this soup kitchen offers meals every Saturday.  You can give to Loaves and Fishes in the basket in the Narthex, on our giving page online, or in our monthly Joyful Giving collection on Sunday, June 28.
