Please join us for worship On Sunday, June 7, as we observe the Second Sunday After Pentecost. We have entered the season of the Sundays after Pentecost, which stretches before us as a veritable sea of liturgical green. Summertime worship at Trinity is always a joy – the whole church family is together in one service. We hope to see you at 9am as we keep holy the Sabbath, are nourished by the Holy Meal, and strengthen our bonds of concern, joy, and love for one another.
Though Jesus was a devout Jew who practiced his faith, he was criticized for eating with tax collectors and sinners—the religiously nonobservant. Jesus criticizes the self-righteous and reminds us that mercy is to be at the heart of our religious practices. God continues to be made known in those on the margins of society, like Matthew the tax collector and the hemorrhaging woman. As we gather each Lord’s day we receive the healing that makes us well and sends us forth to be signs of God’s mercy for the world.

Thank You: Many thanks to Pastor Spencer, Ross Fehnel, and Olivia Brotzman, who are representing Trinity at the 2026 Synod Assembly in Pocono Manor. This is a substantive, three-day commitment, and a labor of love. Pray for them in their travels and for the work of the entire Assembly. A report from the Assembly will be shared soon. Thanks also to everyone who turned out (or who sent regrets) for our big Year-End Worship Ministries Potluck Dinner. 45 kind souls attended, the fellowship and food were off the charts, and we were able to share our gratitude with everyone for their magnificent work in making our worship ministry the well-oiled machine that it is, to God’s glory! Thanks to Joanne, Lydia, and Johanna Marano as they finish a rotation on Altar Guild for the month of May – they got us through five Sundays, and three paraments changes! We’re grateful for all you do! Finally, thanks to everyone who participated in taking several of Trinity’s youth to Dave and Buster’s, two Sundays ago. Much fun and fellowship was had. Thanks to Pastor Spencer and Amanda, Courtney Matthews, and Alison Zavatone for chaperoning.
Personnel News: The Personnel Committee has been meeting frequently to assiduously plan for the transitions following Kathy Sigley’s retirement. The Event Coordinator position has been restructured a smidge, which is reflected in the job description below. Young at Heart News: On Tuesday, June 23, we’ll be visited by the Officer Schippang of the Colonial Regional Police K9 Unit, as well as one of his charges, to discuss/demonstrate how K9 units assist with investigations. Attendees are asked to bring a brown bag lunch. The event will begin at noon. Please RSVP to Kathy.
We’re happy to report that we’re at full capacity for the Iron Pigs game on July 12. Thanks to everyone who signed up, and we can’t wait to see you at the ball game!
Strawberry Festival: This year’s Festival will be held in our air-conditioned Fellowship Hall (the new units barely blink at hot temperatures!), and will feature music by The Majestics. We’re seeking donations of baked goods and items for the tricky tray. For more information, please see Kathy Sigley. The Festival will be from 4-9pm.
June Joyful Giving – Loaves and Fishes: The Loaves and Fishes Soup Kitchen expresses the love of Jesus Christ by serving those persons living in Bath, Nazareth and the surrounding communities of Northampton County who are hungry. In conjunction with several churches in Nazareth and Bath, this soup kitchen offers meals every Saturday. You can give to Loaves and Fishes in the basket in the Narthex, on our giving page online, or in our monthly Joyful Giving collection on Sunday, June 28.
VBS registration is open for 2026! Step through the mist into Rainforest Falls, overflowing with wild waterfalls, towering trees and colorful creatures. Beneath a canopy of chattering birds and howling monkeys, kids plunge into a life-long adventure, discovering the nature of God, and exploring what it means to be rooted in relationship with their creator, a safe place in life’s storms. We are in need of many volunteers for a successful week. New this year, volunteers can also sign up through the registration link.
