Please join us for worship on Seventh Sunday of Easter, May 17 – we’ll have two services of Holy Communion this week, at 8 and 10:30am, with fellowship time at 9, and Sunday School and Adult Bible Study at 9:15. The 10:30 service will be livestreamed. This will be the last Sunday for Sunday School and for our two-service worship schedule.
In these days between Ascension and Pentecost, we gather with the disciples in the upper room, waiting for the Spirit to transform the church around the world. In Sunday’s Gospel Jesus prays for his followers and for their mission in his name. Amid religious, social, and economic divisions, we seek the unity that Jesus had with his Father. Made one in baptism, we go forth to live our faith in the world, eager for the unity that God intends for the whole human family.
Follow this link to the online bulletin if you’re joining us for the 10:30am Livestream.
Thank You: Many thanks to everyone who helped out with Frances Faust’s funeral, last Friday. There were many tears, much laughter, and much gratitude for a life extremely well-lived. Our continued prayers for and love to her family. Thanks also to the Sunday School Students (and their parents) who stayed for the 10:30 service and sang so beautifully. Thanks also to the Long-Range Planning Committee for hosting the movie presentation of Mary Poppins. Don’t sleep on Movie Nights at church – they’re wonderful times of fellowship! Last weekend was kind of a perfect example of what the church does best – we surround those in grief with love and thanksgiving, we enjoy wonderful fellowship, and we joyfully worship the God who makes all things possible.
Calling All Graduates: If your child (or grandchild) is graduating from high school, college, or trade school, and is a member of our congregation, we’d love to share their good news in the Weekly. Please email the office (trinityhecktown@gmail.com) with the following information:
- Their name.
- The school from which they are graduating.
- Any special honors/activities they’d like to share.
- What’s next (college, grad school, a job)?
- If you’d like to include a photo, that’d be magnificent.
We will share info about the graduates as they’re received by the office. Many thanks!
Election Day Bake Sale: We are now an election site for Northampton County! On Tuesday, May 19, we’ll be holding primary elections for our precinct in the fellowship hall, and we’re also going to have a bake sale for those coming in to exercise their franchise. We’re seeking donations of baked goods – please bring your donations to the church by Sunday, May 17 (the office will be closed on Monday, May 18). Many thanks!
May Joyful Giving – Pink Heals: Pink Heals is a program that partners with public safety organizations, local businesses, and families to bring the community together. The organization provides home visits to show individuals that they are loved, cherished, and important to others. You may give in the basket in the Narthex, on the Vanco app, or on the giving page of our website. We will also receive a collection at the 9am service on May 31.
