Please join us for worship on Sunday – we’ll have two services of Holy Communion this week, at 8 and 10:30am, with fellowship time at 9, and Sunday School and Adult Bible Study at 9:15.  The 10:30 service will be livestreamed.

The Fourth Sunday in Easter is sometimes called “Good Shepherd Sunday.” Jesus is called the “gate” of the sheep in today’s gospel. The risen Christ opens the way to abundant life. He anoints our heads with oil and guides us beside the still waters of our baptism. Each Sunday he spreads a feast before us amid the world’s violence and war. We go forth to be signs of the resurrection and extend God’s tender care to all creation.

Follow this link to the online bulletin if you’re joining us for the 10:30am Livestream.

Thank You:  Thanks are due!  Many thanks to everyone involved in Friday’s Penny Party, another grand success, and to Pat Arndt Hartzell, Amanda, Kim, and Randy Setzer, Kate Vakiener, and Kathy Sigley for counting all those pennies!  Thanks also to Todd Donnelly for leading both services on Sunday morning, and to his nephew, Dylan Mohan, who offered a thoughtful and lovely message.  Additionally, thanks to Pam Kalapay for her beautiful playing and singing at the 10:30 service.  Our thanks to Larry Golick and Randy Setzer, who have replaced what we believe is every battery for our smoke detectors in the entire facility (a gargantuan task!).  Finally, thanks to everyone who turned out for Tuesday’s Young at Heart pizza luncheon and presentation on fraud prevention.  We heard lots of favorable comments from the attendees.  Thanks to Kathy Sigley for organizing the event.

April Joyful Giving – ELCA World Hunger:  More than 820 million people, about 11% of people in our world today, are hungry. As members of the ELCA, we are called to respond as we are a church that rolls up our sleeves and gets to work. From healthy clinics to microloans, food pantries to soup kitchens, advocacy to community organizing, your gifts are supporting meaningful solutions that get to the root causes of hunger through hundreds of projects in more than 60 countries around the world, including the United States.

You may give in the basket in the Narthex, on the Vanco app or on the giving page of our website.  We will also receive a collection at both services on this coming Sunday.
