Please join us for worship on Sunday – we’ll have two services of worship this week, at 8 and 10:30am, with fellowship time at 9, and Sunday School and Adult Bible Study at 9:15. The 10:30 service will be livestreamed, and Pam Kalapay will be on hand with her guitar and whistles. It promises to be one of those lovely Eastertide Sundays at Trinity, in full harmony with the high spring we’ve been experiencing outdoors!
Sunday’s Gospel begins with two disciples walking to Emmaus, overcome with sadness, loss, and disappointment. They had hoped Jesus, who was crucified, would be the one to redeem Israel! Yet the risen Christ walks with them and then opens their eyes in the breaking of the bread. Each Sunday our hearts burn within us as the scriptures are proclaimed and Christ appears to us as bread is broken and wine is poured. The story of Emmaus becomes the pattern of our worship each Lord’s day.
Follow this link to the online bulletin if you’re joining us for the 10:30am Livestream.
Thank You: What an amazing Holy Week and Easter in which we shared together! Many thanks to all who made that possible from Assisting Ministers, Readers, Ushers, and Communion Assistants, to Musicians, Altar Guild Members, Flower Sponsors, and Easter Decorators. Kudos to Andy Carr and his excellent colleagues for the wonderful Easter Breakfast, and to Amanda Steele and her helpers for the joyful Easter Egg Hunt. Last, but certainly not least, when we consider that the meaning of liturgy, as understood by the church since its inception, is “the peoples’ work,” we must offer our deep thanks to everyone who joined with us in the work of these most important days of the Church Year. Your presence and participation were extraordinary blessings and gave God great glory. Finally, thanks be to God for the gift of God’s Son, for his teaching, suffering, death, and resurrection, which have secured for us our salvation. Deo gracias!
In Memoriam: Lois Frye (1935-2026): Our deep sympathy and prayers to the family and friends of Lois Frye, who entered into eternal life this past Sunday morning. Lois was a beloved member of the congregation, though, in recent years, she had transitioned to a care community. Her funeral was yesterday, and was private. Her gentle and kind spirit will be missed by many. Please hold Terry and Debra Matla (Debra is Lois’ daughter) in your prayers. May she rest in peace and rise in glory.
In Memoriam: Christopher Parker (1952-2026): Our deep sympathy and prayers, also, to the family and friends of Christopher Parker, who entered into eternal life last Thursday. You may find his obituary by following this link. Our love and prayers to his lovely wife, Rosemary. May Christopher rest in peace and rise in glory.

From healthy clinics to microloans, food pantries to soup kitchens, advocacy to community organizing, your gifts are supporting meaningful solutions that get to the root causes of hunger through hundreds of projects in more than 60 countries around the world, including the United States. You may give in the basket in the Narthex, on the Vanco app or on the giving page of our website. We will also receive a collection at both services on Sunday, April 26.
