Greetings from church!  Please join us for worship on Sunday, March 29, as we observe Palm/Passion Sunday.  We’ll have a Service of Holy Communion at 8am, fellowship time at 9, Sunday School for all ages at 9:15, and a second, livestreamed Service of Holy Communion at 10:30.  A complete Holy Week schedule is shared below.

On Sunday, we encounter the paradox that defines our faith: Jesus Christ is glorified king and humiliated servant. We too are full of paradox: like Peter, we fervently desire to follow Christ, but find ourselves afraid, denying God. We wave palms in celebration today as Christ comes into our midst, and we follow with trepidation as his path leads to death on the cross. Amid it all we are invited into this paradoxical promise of life through Christ’s broken body and outpoured love in a meal of bread and wine. We begin this week that stands at the center of the church year, anticipating the completion of God’s astounding work.

News from our Scout Troop: Troop 67 Soda Tab Collection:  We need your aluminum can tabs! Scout Troop 67 invites you to join us in a simple but meaningful act of service: donating your aluminum soda tabs. Our troop is collecting these tabs to be recycled for money, and every dollar raised will be given directly to the Ronald McDonald House charity. This organization provides lodging for families whose children are receiving critical medical care, offering families the ability to stay close during difficult times.

You may wonder, “Why tabs and not full cans?” Soda tabs are made of high‑quality, pure aluminum that is easily processed and carries a higher value at recycling centers. Because they are small, clean, and easy to collect, they add up quickly without the bulk or mess of storing cans. Your handful of tabs can make a real impact for families in need. We invite you to bring your tabs to the collection bin located in the fellowship hallway and help Troop 67 turn these tiny pieces of metal into big blessings for others. Thank you for your generosity and continued support!

Newspaper collection: Please support Troop 67 by donating newspapers for an upcoming conservation project in partnership with Jacobsburg State Park and Environmental Center. The newspapers will be used as a weed barrier for a landscaping project at Jacobsburg State Park. A collection bin will be available in the fellowship hall Starting Sunday, March 29th and will conclude after the Maundy Thursday service on April 2nd. Thank you for your support of Troop 67 and their environmental service efforts!

Our Spring Penny Party will be held on Friday, April 17 at 7pm, with doors opening at 5.  Donations of baked goods are needed and we will begin collecting nonperishable food items and raffle prizes starting this Sunday, March 22.
