Please join us for worship on Sunday, March 22 , as we observe the Fifth Sunday in Lent We’ll have a Service of Holy Communion at 8am, fellowship time at 9, Sunday School for all ages at 9:15, and a second, livestreamed Service of Holy Communion at 10:30.
In Sunday’s gospel Jesus reveals his power over death by raising Lazarus from the dead. The prophet Ezekiel prophesies God breathing new life into dry bones. To those in exile or living in the shadows of death, these stories proclaim God’s promise of resurrection. In baptism we die with Christ that we might also be raised with him to new life.

Thank You: Many thanks to our Sunday School Students who helped to lead the 10:30 service and shared a musical offering, this past Sunday. Finally, thanks to Pam Kalapay, our gifted multi-instrumentalist and singer, who always brings abundant joy with her music-making.

Midweek Lenten Suppers and Services: Since the dawn of humanity, people have gathered to share tales of bravery, conflict, tragedy and victory. Yet the greatest story ever told is more than a story. It is that of the work and word of God. It is the story of salvation to a lost and sinful people. It sets our spirits aflame and tempers us for the trails to come. It challenges us to reject sin and live in righteousness of God’s definition, culminating in the Gospel of Jesus Christ and his death on the cross. The entire Bible points to this reality. Join us for our Lenten series this year as we share these stories and are strengthened for the days ahead in their telling. Each Week we will be taking a deep dive into the life, trials and victory of a biblical figure that emphasizes the power of God as Sovereign over the world. We will see how God works all things: people, governments and powers of the world turning them even from evil and reorienting them towards the good. We will begin with a shared soup supper at 6pm, followed by the service at 6:45. Please sign up on the bulletin board to bring soup, a salad, or bread. Join us in this Lenten Series as we follow the work of God and King as he pulls us Out of the Fire.
Our Spring Penny Party will be held on Friday, April 17 at 7pm, with doors opening at 5. Donations of baked goods are needed and we will begin collecting nonperishable food items and raffle prizes starting this Sunday, March 22.
