Please join us for worship on Sunday, January 11, as we observe the Baptism of Our Lord.  We’ll have a Service of Holy Communion at 8am, Fellowship Time at 9, and Sunday School for all ages at 9:15.  We’ll have a second, livestreamed Service of Holy Communion at 10:30.  Pam Kalapy will be on hand at the 10:30 service with her guitar and whistle, and we will affirm our baptisms at both services.

In the waters of the Jordan, Jesus is revealed as the beloved Son of God. Through this great epiphany, Jesus fulfills all righteousness and becomes the servant of God who will bring forth justice and be a light to the nations. In the waters of baptism we too are washed by the Word, anointed by the Spirit, and named God’s beloved children. Our baptismal mission is to proclaim good news to all who are oppressed or in need of God’s healing.

Please follow this link to the bulletin for the 10:30am Service on Sunday, January 11.

Thank You:  These are our first announcements since before Christmas, and there are many people to thank for their excellent work in making our celebrations so lovely.  Thanks to members of the Music Ministry who sang and rang so beautifully, to our worship assistants: ushers, communion assistants, and assisting ministers, to our decorators and altar guild members and candlelighting assistants, to our flower sponsors, and anyone who had any role (it’s hard to tally them all!).  God was given great glory by the efforts of so many.  It was a lovely and deeply meaningful Christmas season.

Join us for Winter Fest: On Saturday, January 11, we’ll have a wonderful time of fellowship.  We’ll begin with games at 4pm, covered dish at 4:30, and then we’ll watch that Chronicles of Narnia at 5pm.  Lots of fun for all ages.  The Fellowship Hall will be beautifully decorated, and this will be an excellent opportunity to share some light and love at the beginning of the New Year.

From the Nazareth Area Food Bank:  The Nazareth Area Food Bank will be closed January-March to give their volunteers some much-needed rest. If you would like to donate during these months, you may send a check to the Food Bank. We will begin collecting again in April. Thank you for your continued support and generosity.

January Joyful GivingSafe Harbor Easton is a program-based shelter dedicated to empowering and educating homeless men and women as they address the root causes of homelessness.  Arise Shelter has the capacity to house 22 men and 28 women overnight.  Last year, they housed 183 people as well as provided them with an in-house case manager.  It is also a drop-in program for low-income adults, particularly those who have difficulty with tasks of daily life.  Safe Harbor Easton began in 1983 and has grown out of community needs and is sustained by community support.  You can support Safe Harbor by dropping a check in the Joyful Giving basket in the Narthex, or by contributing on our website.  We will receive a Joyful Giving Offering on Sunday, January 25, as well.

Notice of Congregational Meeting: We will have our Annual Meeting on Sunday, January 25, following the 9am Service of Holy Communion.  Please note that we’ll only have on service that morning, and no Sunday School.  All voting members of the congregation (those who are confirmed and older) are welcome to participate in the meeting.  Those responsible for information for the Annual Report should plan to have that emailed to the Parish Office by Tuesday morning, January 13, at 10am.  Many thanks!

Young at Heart: The group will be sharing a brown bag lunch on Tuesday, January 13, beginning at noon, followed by an organizational meeting to plan for 2026.  Please bring your lunch and ideas for the coming year!
