Please join us for worship on Sunday, November 9, as we celebrate the Twenty-Second Sunday after Pentecost.  We’ll have a Service of Holy Communion at 8am and Sunday School for all ages at 9:15.  We’ll have a second, livestreamed Service of Holy Communion at 10:30.  Our Sunday School Students will be singing and serving as lectors and intercessors at the 10:30 service, and Pam Kalapy will joining us with her guitar and whistles.  It promises to be a lovely morning! We’re having a one-week hiatus of fellowship time to allow for Bingo set-up.  Don’t forget, the doors open for our Purse Bingo at 12pm, and bingo starts at 1.

We worship on the first day of the week because Jesus was raised on that day. Every Sunday is a little Easter. This Sunday feels more like Easter than many as the appointed texts celebrate the reality of the resurrection. Live it up this Lord’s day. Our God is the God of the living.

Thank You:  Many thanks to the members of our Music Ministry for their beautiful offerings on All Saints Sunday.  We received lots of favorable feedback for their efforts and are very grateful.  Thanks  and a very warm welcome to our new members, Roxanne Achenbach, Olivia Brotzman, and Ross Fehnel, whom we received at the 8am service.  Thanks also to Lori Peck and her team of volunteers who put on a very successful movie night in the Grove, this past Saturday.  Around 30 souls were on hand to enjoy The Lion King, and the wind cooperated by dying down just in time for the event.

Mitten Tree/Mission District Ingathering: The Mitten Tree is up and we are receiving donations for the 2025 Mission District Ingathering.   There are many items on the list of requested donations, we’ve printed them and they are available in the Narthex.  Please follow this link for a PDF copy.  We will receive donations through November 30.

Purse Bingo: Join us on this Sunday, November 9, for our annual Purse Bingo.  The doors will open at 12pm, and the bingo starts at 1pm.  Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door.  There will be 25 games of bingo, door prizes, and tricky tray, and lunch will be available for purchase.  It’s always a grand time.  If you’re able to help out, or would like to purchase tickets, please see Kim Setzer.

Young at Heart: Join us for Friendsgiving!  We’ll gather on Thursday, November 13, beginning at 12pm.  Attendees are asked to bring a favorite Thanksgiving side dish or dessert, we’ll provide the Turkey and drinks.  Please RSVP to Kathy Sigley, or sign up on the bulletin board.

YarnWorks will be selling their wares between and after the services on Sundays, November 16 and 23. They have a number of beautiful and whimsical items available (see the advertisement in the Weekly).  Proceeds will benefit Lutheran Disaster Response, which is on the ground in the Caribbean, assisting with hurricane recovery.  Treat yourself and help a very worthy cause!
