Please join us for worship, fellowship, and Christian Education this Sunday, February 23, as we observe The Seventh Sunday after Epiphany. We’ll have a service of Holy Communion at 8am, followed by fellowship at 9, Sunday School at 9:15, and a second Service of Holy Communion at 10:30, in the sanctuary and online.
Mercy. Mercy. Mercy. Joseph lives it in Egypt. Jesus preaches it in the gospel. The Spirit guides us into merciful lives with the power of forgiveness to reconcile what is fractured and divided. Such merciful living is the baptismal blessing of having put on Christ. It is the gift of the life-giving Spirit. It is a reflection of God’s glory revealed in Christ.

Thank you: Thank you to the members of our Congregational Council who turned out for Council Installation, this past Sunday, and to all the members of the Council, who will meet tonight for the first time with our new members, Jackie Arthur and Betty Houck, and organize their leadership for the year. Thanks, also, to the members of our various committees and musical ensembles, for their flexibility as the winter weather has put a few wrenches in scheduled meetings and rehearsals.
Lent Approaches! The season of Lent is a solemn remembrance of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. During this season, it is a church tradition that many abstain from particular foods or enjoyment so that they might prepare their hearts for Good Friday and Easter. This year, may you be so called to deepen your faith and spiritual practice in connection to Christ. Trinity will be offering a number of opportunities to help in that growth.
Lent will begin on March 5, Ash Wednesday, with the imposition of Ashes at our church starting at 6-9m. Then at 7:30pm we will have a service of Holy Communion with the imposition of Ashes.
Join us for soup and bread in a communal meal each week at 6pm. Here we will share the bounty that God provides us with one another in much the way that Jesus and his disciples did in their daily lives. We will support one another in our Christian faith and Lenten practice with fellowship and community. This will be immediately followed by Midweek Lenten worship service. This year we will be looking at Christ Condemned: the Prosecution of Jesus.
