Please join us for worship, fellowship, and Christian Education this Sunday, January 12, as we observe the Baptism of Our Lord. We’ll have a service of Holy Communion with Affirmation of Baptism by the Assembly at 8am, followed by fellowship at 9, Sunday School at 9:15, and a second Service of Holy Communion with Affirmation of Baptism by the Assembly at 10:30, in the sanctuary and online. Pam Kalapay will be bringing her guitar and whistle to the late service – let’s wade in the water together as we affirm our baptisms at the start of the New Year!
Today’s festival rejoices in God’s blessings. We recall and celebrate our adoption as God’s children, the gift of the Holy Spirit, and the promised company of almighty God when we “pass through the waters . . . the rivers . . . fire.” On this day the heavens open again for this assembly, and we receive the gift of God’s Beloved, Jesus, in bread and wine.

Notice of Annual Meeting: We will have our yearly Annual Meeting on Sunday, January 26, following the 9am Service of Holy Communion. Please note that we’ll only have on service that morning, and no Sunday School. All voting members of the congregation (those who are confirmed and older) are welcome to participate in the meeting.

Thank you: After a brief holiday respite, the usual Sunday schedule resumed this past week, and we’re on our way in the New Year! Thanks to our Christmas Decorators, who will bring the season to a close with the removal of decorations on Saturday. Thanks to Mandy, Maddie, Blake, and Collen Shuler for their beautiful singing at the 10:30am service, this past Sunday. It was a treat to have the full gang together.
