Please join us this coming Sunday, March 17, as we observe the Fifth Sunday in Lent.  We’ll have a Service of Holy Communion in the Sanctuary at 8am, followed by Fellowship Time at 9, Sunday School for all ages at 9:15, then a Service of Holy Communion in the Sanctuary and Online at 10:30.  We’ll be collecting for Food for the Poor at both services for our Joyful Giving Offering.  If you’d like to contribute, please plan accordingly.

God promises Jeremiah that a “new covenant” will be made in the future: a covenant that will allow all the people to know God by heart. The church sees this promise fulfilled in Christ, who draws all people to himself when he is lifted up on the cross. Our baptismal covenant draws us to God’s heart through Christ and draws God’s love and truth into our hearts. We join together in worship, sharing in word, song, and meal, and leave strengthened to share God’s love with all the world.

Thank you: Thank to all those who turned out for Betty Bartron’s funeral, this past Saturday, particularly the members of our hospitality committee, who hosted the luncheon.  It was a beautiful time of remembrance as we commended our eldest member to God’s merciful care.  Thanks also to Pastor Spencer for his work – the last week has been a bit of a marathon. He presided and preached at two funerals, a midweek Lenten service, on top of our two Sunday services.  Finally, thanks to Pam Kalapay for her excellent playing and singing, last Sunday.  The Chancel Choir returns for one more offering on Sunday, then the Festival Choir steps in for Palm Sunday, Holy Week, and Easter!

All of the rest of this week’s announcements can be found in our Weekly Email.
