Join us this coming Sunday, June 4, as we observe the festival of our namesake, The Holy Trinity. We’ll have one service of Holy Communion with Holy Baptism at 9am. Amy Ruhf and Maddie Shuler will offer special music at the service.
Though the word Trinity is not found in the scriptures, today’s second reading includes the apostolic greeting that begins the liturgy: The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. In the gospel Jesus sends his disciples forth to baptize in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. More than a doctrine, the Trinity expresses the heart of our faith: we have experienced the God of creation made known in Jesus Christ and with us always through the Holy Spirit. We celebrate the mystery of the Holy Trinity in word and sacrament, as we profess the creed, and as we are sent into the world to bear witness to our faith.

Thank you: Big thanks to those who helped at our annual Mulching and Weeding event, this past Saturday! We had an excellent turnout and much was accomplished in the beautifying of our church grounds. Thanks also to the members of our Music Ministry for their beautiful offerings on this past Sunday. They are now, collectively, on their well-deserved summer hiatus, but you will see individual members offering special music throughout the summer (Amy Ruhf and Maddie Shuler will be singing a duet this week!). We are grateful for all our parish musicians do to enliven and enrichen our worship life together. Thank you and enjoy the summer! Thanks also to our strawberry picking crew – photographed above, for their work on a beautiful Wednesday, and to those helped to hull and prepare the berries. The Strawberry Festival is coming soon!
VBS News: This year’s Vacation Bible School is Rocky Railway. Climb aboard for mountains of fun at Rocky Railway! On this faith-filled adventure, kids discover that trusting Jesus pulls them through life’s ups and downs.
VBS will take place on July 24-28, from 9am-12pm.
Online registration will begin June 1. There is a suggested donation of $7.50 to cover the cost of the CD and other supplies. Donations will be collected the day of the event.
We are also in need of volunteers to help during VBS. If you are interested in helping (even for just a day or two), or have any questions, please email Katie at: katiecakes1088 at gmail dot com.
