Please join us this coming Sunday, May 14, as we observe the Sixth Sunday of Easter. We’re also going to recognize our Sunday School teachers and helpers, and we’ll have a blessing for mothers.  We’ll have two services of Holy Communion, the first at 8am, the second at 10:30.    Between the services, we have fellowship time at 9am  and Sunday School for all ages at 9:15.  Pam Kalapay will be playing guitar and whistle and Maddie Shuler will sing a beautiful piece at the 10:30 service.  Eastertide stretches out for seven Sundays (including, Easter, itself), and is a particularly joyful season of the church year.

Jesus does not abandon his followers. Through the Holy Spirit, Jesus comes to abide with his disciples of every generation. As Pentecost draws near, we are reminded that the risen Christ dwells in us as the Spirit of truth. We receive this Spirit in baptism and pray that in our gathering around the Lord’s table the Spirit will transform us to be the body of the risen Christ in the world.

Thank you:  Thanks to everyone who volunteered to help with the Rummage Sale!  Before expenses, they netted over $2,000, which will be divided between Visions of Eagles, Pink Heals, Purple Heart, and our benevolence to the wider church.  Thanks to all our donors, those who spent countless hours sorting and pricing, and those who prepared food items for the sale, and those who ran the sale.  It was a herculean effort for exceptional causes.  Many thanks!

Thank you, also, to those who joined Young at Heart for a day at the ballgame.  The weather was beautiful and Coca-Cola stadium was apparently the place to be – lots of younger Trinitarians were attending with their schools, as well!

Baptismal Congratulations: Our congratulations to Cameron Tobias Clark Parzych and Charlotte Joy Kulhamer on their baptisms, last Sunday, at the 10:30am service.  Cameron is the son of Alex and Karalynne Parzych, and the grandson of David and Karen Clark. Charlotte is the daughter of Justin Kulhamer and Carrie Senior, and the granddaughter of Kent and Ronda Senior.  What a lovely service, and what a delight to share in Cameron’s and Charlotte’s special day!  Thanks be to God!

Adopt-a-Highway: Saturday, May 13, 9am.  Join Trinity’s Adopt-A-Highway event and help clean-up part of Lower Nazareth!  Trinity Lutheran has adopted a stretch of Newburg Rd from the Lower Nazareth Elementary school west to W. Gremar Rd. We casually walk the route picking up litter along the way as well as enjoying the company, stories, and laughter of friends. The process takes approximately 2 ½ hours. This is a great opportunity to give back to the community and we hope you will consider joining us. If you have interest or questions, please contact Bron Sheriff at bsheriff44@gmail.com or (610) 759-1971.

Sunday School News:  May 14 –  Teacher Appreciation Sunday.  We will be in the Youth Room for Sunday School and will recognize our teachers and helpers during the services.

May 21 – Community Helper Sunday!  This will be our last Sunday School hour for the school year.  We will be in the Fellowship Hall, starting at 9:15am.  We will hear from Community Helpers who will be with us that day.  Then we will go outside to check out a fire truck, ambulance, and police car!  Then we will come back inside for treats and the chance to talk with our visiting Community Helpers.  Also on May 21, around 11:30am  (after the 10:30 service), we will have a fun youth event – WALKING TACOS and GAMES!  Please plan to join us for some fellowship, fun, and TACOS!

Are you a community helper or do you know someone who is?  Please invite them to join us on May 21!  They are welcome to wear their uniform and come to either service.  If they are interested, they could also speak with our Sunday School class!  Please help us spread the word!

Thank you so much!!  See you soon!
